Episode 01
Creating Home with the Nigerian Community in Peckham, London

Our first episode finds us in the heart of the Nigerian community in Peckham, London, also known as “Little Lagos.” In Peckham, there's a strong sense of community and a shared love of culture and traditions where Nigerian heritage is celebrated with pride. This community has created a safe space to embrace being both Nigerian and British.

Episode 02
Blending traditions with the Japanese community in Sao Paulo

In Episode 2, we find ourselves in the heart of the Japanese community in Sao Paulo, Brazil, home to the largest Japanese community outside of Japan. In getting to know members of this community, we discover how Japanese-Brazilians are using cultural traditions as fuel to create something brand new in the thriving neighborhood of Liberdade in Sao Paulo.

Creating home with the Indian community in London

In Episode 3, we head across the pond to the neighborhood of Southall, in London, home to a vibrant Indian community. In getting to know Southall’s residents, we discover how Indians in London blend traditional and non-traditional aspects of their culture to create something unique.

Creating Home with Turkish Community in Berlin

In Episode 4, we chat with three Turkish artists to learn how the city of Berlin supports them in finding community, creativity, and helps them in reconciling their many identities. In getting to know members of this community, we discover that having a community where you feel comfortable to explore instead of explain and show up instead of shy away gives you the opportunity to reclaim and express all the parts that make up you.

Ugandan Snacks in Boston

Whether it's roasted nuts or nsenene, Ugandan snacks are an important part of the culture. These delicious snacks, often made using traditional cooking methods and spices, are enjoyed by people of all ages. But what about outside of Uganda? Can these snacks still be found and enjoyed in other parts of the world? Specifically, can you find Ugandan snacks in Waltham, Boston? The answer is yes! With a growing immigrant population from various African countries, including Uganda, Waltham has become a hub for diverse cultural experiences.
